Nature Park

About the Park: Located at 328 N. Crawford Road, Grantville, PA 17028. EHT Park and Rec acquired the land for the Nature Park from the VFW. The old VFW Pavilion still stands on the property and is available for the public to rent. Previous Park and Rec Director Jhane Kunkel, and our Public Works Director Bryan Ziegler created the trails in 2020. Hunting is NOT ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY.

Trails: The main trail loop is about 0.9 miles starting at the parking lot. There are multiple spur trails that can lengthen or shorten your hike. The trail is rated moderate and has about 80ft of elevation gain.

Flora and Fauna: The Nature Park has fabulous habitat for migratory birds, foxes, turtles, and the occasional Great Blue Heron. There is a wide diversity of trees and wildflowers on the trail. Please do not disturb the newly planted trees on the property.

Manada Conservancy Nursery: Located on the property. No Trespassing. During the past 20 years Manada Conservancy has grown from a seed of hope in the minds of a few individuals to a community of more than 400 members.  Because of your generous support and many volunteer hours of labor, we have been able to work with landowners to protect nearly 2,500 acres of land in Dauphin County, present more than 100 environmental education programs, develop a native plant initiative, offer outdoor opportunities, and engage with businesses and other organizations that share our mission.
