Things around you

Multiflora Rose

Much of the brush in front of you is made up of multiflora rose, an ornamental climbing shrub. While in bloom, its white flowers may be pretty, but it is a noxious weed, spreading rapidly. While it may be invasive, these large, dense plants provide shelter for smaller wildlife such as rodents and birds

It gains its name due to the fact that it has many flowers when in full bloom, hence the name "multiflora".

The Bridge

A quick trip to your left will take you to a small bridge, which crosses over a creek that runs underneath. Keep an eye out for frogs and other wildlife that may make their way here for a drink!

Following in this direction will take you around the perimeter trail towards the road, passing by a nice bench along the way.
