DC Senior Center

Overview

There are 19 sites throughout the County where older adults may gather for fellowship and activities during the day. Programs are planned by center participants with the help of center staff and volunteers. Activities may include board games, cards, exercise, dance, trips, special events and Prime Time Health Programs. Residents of Dauphin County who are at least 60 years old (and their spouse regardless of age) may attend the centers. Transportation can be provided to the closest senior center for those unable to use public transportation. Call the assigned community public/private transportation serving your community or Capital Area Transit's Share-A-Ride program. Persons with their own transportation may attend the center of their choice.  A hot nutritious (1/3 RDA) meal is served five days a week. There is no charge for the meal, however, voluntary contributions are encouraged and accepted. If you wish to enjoy a noon meal at the center, you must notify the center manager before noon on the working day prior to the day you wish to attend.
