Overview

As of January 1, 2015, all individuals permanently residing in East Hanover Township, Dauphin County receive emergency services member benefits with South Central EMS. Listed below are some of the key highlights of this service as funded by the East Hanover Township Board of Supervisors. This service covers the patient’s costs for emergency calls within the geographic primary response area of South Central Emergency Medical Services, Inc., as dispatched by Dauphin County Emergency Management Agency. Program benefits are only applicable when South Central EMS, Inc. is the responding, transporting emergency medical services unit. Program benefits do not extend to emergency calls that are not medically necessary. Program benefits do not extend to non-emergency transportation by ambulance and/ or wheelchair/ litter van. South Central EMS will conduct fundraising activities including, but not limited to an annual voluntary fund drive mailing. Program benefits will be considered void if a resident utilizes EMS Services and fails to remit insurance payments received. All payments for services rendered shall be submitted to South Central EMS upon receipt.
