Mobile Homes

Mobile Home/House Trailer Permit must be obtained from the Local Tax Collector if the owner(s): 

  • Transfer Ownership 
  • Move out of Dauphin County 
  • Move within Dauphin County 
  • Physically move to a sales lot 
  • Replacement 
  • Repossession 

There is a $2.00 permit fee paid to the Tax Collector.  
All taxes must be paid prior to sale or moving. 
 
Mobile Homes incur Real Estate Taxes as “Improvements.”  Real Estate bills are mailed in February and July.  It is the property owner’s responsibility to contact the Tax Office if the bill is not received.  For additional information, see under the Property Real Estate Taxes section.
